"Within the Grove of Whispers, echoes of the ancient
ones can be heard - carried in the wind, resonating within crystal formations,
becoming one with the eternal melody of life. Many epic tales and songs
are forever engraved in the collective, ageless memory of the green -
and the patience of the trees for new tales is endless..."
Welcome to The Library. Here you will find my assorted works of fiction and occasional poetry. Without further ado:
Warped Beyond Time (|Prologue|1|2|3|4|)
(Incomplete) Or: A Tale of Two Princes, A Princess, A Frog, A Toad, One
or Two Medium-Sized Dragons and a Terrible Truth... Another story I never
finished even though its roots lie in 2001. Still. It's rather H2G2-ish
and I love it too damn much to NOT have it up here.
Turning Point
Or: The Last Thoughts of the Last of the Dragons... Philosophy in the
guise of Fantasy? You decide.
Shift
Exchange
Forces of nature don't die. They're only replaced.
Closing
Just the end of yet another failed project...
Justice
from Above
Just what exactly drives the Angel of the Bottomless Pit to seek legal
aid?
The
Natural Look (100% Synthetic)
Of cosmetic surgery, soul transplantation, and what happened in between...
What
Loneliness Does to People...
Utterly fictional, but somewhat inspired by a true story.
Blades
(Pokémon) The tale of a Scyther come full circle, as told form
her perspective. This was an origin story for a Scizor belonging to an
RP character who never had his chance to shine as that board dropped dead
very quickly - hence the slightly odd movesets. [Currently in Updating Process]
Hades
(Digimon Tamers) A pre-Digimon Tamers fic. What happens when Digimon die
and aren't absorbed? Renamon finds out for herself. [Old, Deprecated]
Seth
- A Final Recording
(Phantasy Star IV) This story takes a view of a short pre-Phantasy Star
IV period, through the eyes of an unusual character, whose unfortunate
demise is met in PSIV. You might call him a villain, but I think hes
more of a victim of circumstances... [Old, Deprecated]
Sealed
in Ice
(Final Fantasy VI) Tritoch, the frozen esper, reflects on the world and
the passage of time. Based on the original SNES translation, some names
may not be consistent with the updated PSX and GBA ports. [Old, Deprecated]
When
Life is Just Re-VOLT-ing
(Pokémon) Written as a parody on all those Mewtwo angst fics that
were all the rage back when this was written. Ever wondered why do Voltorbs
blow themselves up of their own free will? Exactly. (Apologies to The
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.)
The
Circle of (Artificial) Life
(Pokémon) My take on the genesis of one of the most controversial
and underrated Pokémon Ever - Porygon. Also, the primary reason
why I like these things as much as I do nowadays.
A Tale from Pinwheel Forest
(Pokémon) A trainer reminisces about his first battle alongside one of his oldest friends. Originally a post from an RP that died before it even really had a chance to begin, I liked this particular story enough to keep it around in some form.
Resonance (|Prologue|1|2|)
(Pokémon) (Incomplete) This was an attempt of mine to write a trainer
fic based in Hoenn, set around a continuity of my own. Tragically, in
spite of multiple plans and a whole chronology developed for it, the story
ended up dying. [Abandoned]
Balance
I've had a couple of lines running through my head for quite a while,
and at some point, a continuation came. As with most of the poems here,
this was written in 2002 so it may not be as good as I thought it was
when I first wrote it. But I used to think of it as my best poem ever,
so why not.
Voice
of the Forest
Another poem from 2002. Not to be confused with the dub title of the fourth
PokéMon movie.
Meaning
Definitely not one of my best, but I liked it enough to post it here.
The
End
Another ancient bugger, this one from 2003.
A
Poem, of Sorts...
This is what happens when I run out of ideas.
Edgar
Allen Poe-kéMon: Yellow Version
What if the events of the beginning of PokéMon Yellow were written
by a master of classic emo poetry? Read it and weep.
Untitled
Not really a poem, not really a story, just a little something I deemed
too beautiful to lose.
Reflections...
Part daydream and part painful reality, this was written about two months
after my first long-running serious relationship ended. I was still rather
broken. Not quite anything in particular, hence under Miscellaneous.
